SHOW CHAMPION PITSWARREN PLANET

SHOW CHAMPION PITSWARREN PLANET

We made up our very first Show Champion, a bitch, Show Champion Gardenway Rica of Pitswarren in July 1987. Rica was amongst the most important dogs we have owned and together with Russetmantle Dream of Pitswarren - Geida to us - became a key part of our foundation bloodlines.

From Geida we bred our first litter (Sired by Sh.Ch.Captain Quincy of Glendun) and produced puppies that included Pitswarren Zacchaeus.

Zac (Zacchaeus) would prove to be our most influential stud dog and with Rica produced the Top Winning, Breed Record holder and internationally famous Show Champion Pitswarren Levi and his sister Sh.Ch.Leila.

Zac and Rica created the foundation for the many Pitswarren Show Champions both in the UK and Australia and their influence continues to be seen in many of the top dogs shown today.

Pitswarren currently have owned or bred 29 Show Champions* and we have won in excess of  200 Challenge Certificates* and almost as many Reserve Challenge Certificates. *Awards won by us in three breeds.

Pitswarren dogs continue to win the top awards in the UK and descendants from Pitswarren bloodlines continue to be very successful in Australia.

Our Top Show winning dog Show Champion Pitswarren Planet has now retired (2014) having won 41 Challenge Certificates and many Group placings. Planet continues to be the Top Winning home bred and handled Hungarian Vizsla ever in the U.K.

In addition Sh.Ch.Pitswarren Denim and her brother Sh.Ch.Darwinian both became Show Champions despite Darwin having to avoid competing with Planet for his title.

In 2014 we brought our young dog Pitswarren Rafael back into the show ring, Rafa had previously been to very few shows but had already won a Reserve Challenge Certificate, his Stud Book qualifier and Best Puppy in Show at the HVS Championship Show. By May 2015 Rafa had become Show Champion Pitswarren Rafael and our 22nd Show Champion. Later in 2015 our Hungarian Wirehared Vizsla Pitswarren Sirocco became our 23rd Show Champion.

In 2016 we had an exceptional year with Adal - our internationally bred import - becoming a full Show Champion and our 24th Show Champion.     We have shown two daughters from Adal's first litter throughout 2016 being Nora and Zizi. They were both awarded Junior Warrants before being 15 months old and finished as the Top Juniors in the breed.

2017 has been an exceptional year for us.Nora is now a Show Champion, Zizi has two CCs and four RCCs and Gundog Group placings. From Adal's second litter we have Show Champion Magnus Fortuna who in 2017 was the Top Puppy in the breed, won his Junior Warrant at 9 months, has been awarded Group 3 on three occassions and is the youngest ever Show Champion in the breed.

Show Champion Zizi gained her thiird Challenge Certificate and title in May 2018.

Please see their individual statistics.

We continue to have a very successful show team.

Breed Standard for the  Hungarian Vizsla

A Breed Standard is the guideline which describes the ideal characteristics,  temperament and appearance of a breed and ensures that the breed is fit for  function. Absolute soundness is essential. From  time to time certain conditions or exaggerations may be considered to have the  potential to affect dogs in some breeds adversely, and judges and breeders are  requested to refer to the Kennel Club website for details of any such current  issues.
